Urgent notice! Before December 31, 2025, the old SRRC certificate must complete the standard upgrade!

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Notice on Strengthening and Standardizing Radio Management in 2400MHz, 5100MHz and 5800MHz Band (No.129 [2021] of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology):

★ From October 15th, 2023, the equipment newly applied for SRRC certification will be tested by the new standard;

★ By December 31st, 2025: All the old SRRC certificates must be upgraded, and the certificates that have not been upgraded within the time limit will be automatically invalidated. In other words, the existing old standard certificate needs to be changed before the deadline, otherwise it will affect the product market access!

About SRRC certification

SRRC certification (also known as radio type approval certification) is a compulsory certification system for radio transmitting equipment in Chinese mainland, which is managed by the State Radio Regulatory Commission of the People's Republic of China and is currently implemented by the Radio Administration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It ensures that radio equipment meets the national technical standards, prevents mutual interference between equipment and maintains radio wave order.

Technical standard upgrade

This upgrade puts forward stricter requirements for 2.4GHz/5.1GHz/5.8GHz band equipment, including:

◆ 2.4GHz products need to meet the new limit of sideband spurious (for example, the limit of 2483.5-2500MHz band is raised to -40dBm/MHz).

◆ When adding interference avoidance test, it is necessary to provide special test samples and supporting equipment, and the product should have interference avoidance mechanism.

Difference of validity between old and new certificates

★ Old bid certificate: valid until December 31, 2025 at the longest, and will be invalid after the expiration.

★ New bid certificate: valid for 5 years after issuance.

List of materials to be submitted for upgrading the old standard certificate

1. Application Form for Type Approval of Radio Transmitting Equipment-The implementation standard indicates that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has no [2021] No.129;

2, the agent's power of attorney and ID card scanned (stamped with the signature of the applicant, color scanning);

3. Letter from the enterprise requesting change: the reason for the upgrade and the corresponding product information shall be explained;

4. Original Type Approval Certificate of Radio Transmitting Equipment: The original paper file should be sent back to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology;

5. Entrusted test report: select the report issued by the testing organization recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology;

6. Sample requirements: 1 fixed frequency conduction prototype and 1 adaptive (interference avoidance) test prototype.

Warm tips

SRRC certification is a mandatory requirement for the sale of radio equipment in the domestic market, and products without SRRC certification will face market access restrictions.
