KC certification introduction

In order to enable consumers to more clearly understand the certification marks on the products they purchase, and to reduce the certification costs burdened by product manufacturers, the Korea Institute of Technology and Standards (kats) announced on August 20, 2008 that it will be in 2009. The new certification system KC (korea certification) certification will be implemented on January 1. The plan was first implemented in the Ministry of Knowledge Economy since July 2009, and is expected to be extended to all departments by the end of 2010.

The implementation plan of the KC logo is as follows:

December 2008: Amend the "National Standard Basic Law" and its implementation order;

July 2009: The Ministry of Knowledge Economy began to implement and adopt the national unified KC mark;

January 2009 to December 2010: Amend the laws related to standard certification;

January 2011: The KC mark is applied to all certifications.

What is KC certification?

Answer: The KC certification of information and communication equipment is a compulsory certification system that is implemented in accordance with Article 33 of the Basic Law of Korean Electric Communications and Articles 46 and 57 of the Radio Wave Act.

Why get the KC certification mark?

A: All products (or equipment) listed in Chapter 3 of the "Implementation Rules for the Certification of Information and Telecommunications Equipment" must pass the certification and affix the certification mark before they can be produced, imported or sold in Korea.　

What materials should be prepared when applying for KC certification?

1. C application form (both excel editable file and signed and sealed version are required)

2. Business license

3. Korean manual of the product (editable document)

4. Schematic diagram (including module part)

5. Number diagram (including module part)

6. Line specification (please provide 2D Pattern, including the directional pattern of the high and low frequency points, the Peak Gain value of the high and low frequency points is consistent with the 2D pattern display)

7. Frequency software

8. Frequency operation SOP (English version is fine)

Note that all circuit diagrams and bitmaps must correspond to each other.
