The Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE) of South Korea announced on August 25, 2008 that the National Standards Committee will implement a new national unified certification mark called "KC Mark" from July 2009 to December 2010. The new logo is called KC Mark, which stands for Korea Certification. The current 13 mandatory signs will eventually be unified under this new sign. One result of this initiative is to reduce the supplier's expenditure on certification, making Korea KC Mark gradually become a world brand certification. But there is a shortcoming. The KCC logo that has just been issued recently will only be implemented for a few years, and will eventually be unified under this new KC logo.

KC certification test standards:

The battery KC certification test standard is KC62133, which is equivalent to IEC62133:2012Ed.2.

Note: Starting in January 2017, products with a volume energy density of less than 400Wh/L are also classified as objects of certification, and the breakdown of portable products: batteries used in mobile products are also objects of certification, which requires structural inspection and quality documents, aviation Transport test report. The old version of K62133 was abolished in August 2015. The issued K62133 certificate is valid for five years from the date of issuance. After the expiration date, it is necessary to apply for KC certification according to the new standard KC62133. The products produced after the revision of the safety standard must meet the revised safety standard. The cell report issued based on the K62133 safety benchmark is considered invalid when applying for KC62133 (that is, the old version of the cell test report is invalid).
